This book features a letter of the alphabet, rhyming verse, and Bible verse focusing on God’s creation. C is for Creation by Crystal Bowman and Teri McKinley is a great way to teach important early learning and faith concepts. The book begins with a parent’s page explaining how to use this book. True to the Bible, verses illustrate how God created day and night, the earth and the oceans, plants and animals. It’s amazing how it all comes together ending with God resting (Zzzz)! The letters of the alphabet are the main focus of the artwork by Jacqueline Nunez painted in soft colors. I loved M is for Manger and and R is for Risen, too. What a great addition to the series! I was given a digital copy of this book. Opinions are my own. God’s creation is close to my heart. I’m the author of two books on this subject.

In this charming Christmas story, a spunky little girl named Serah dreams of being a shepherdess. Serah and the First Christmas by Tama Fortner helped me to imagine myself in the story of that holy night when the angels tell the shepherds of the newborn king. Serah’s father is a shepherd, and her brothers help tend the sheep. Serah longs to prove herself. Reluctantly, her father gives Serah a baby lamb to feed and take care of. What happens next is truly inspired! The illustrations by Silvia Provantini are sweet, adorable. Go on this journey with Serah to experience the Christmas story in a new, joyful way.
