Reminiscent of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, the chunky board book, Hey There, Blue Bird, Why Do You Chirp? by Sue Irwin not only answers each question, but thanks God, too! Bright, active illustrations by Agnieszka Wajda show delight and wonder. This book teaches the early learning concepts of colors, animals, and animal sounds and the faith formation concept of gratefulness. For example, a question is asked, “Hey there, white horse, why do you neigh?” and answered, “I neigh to thank God for my clippety-clop.” Plus, the answer rhymes with the next answer. “Hey there, green frog, why do you croak? I croak to thank God for my hippety-hop.” So much to praise about this book! I was given a copy of this book. Opinions are my own. Children will love the repetition, rhyme, and rhythm. Highly recommended!
